Hi all, I’m John! I initially decided to go vegan because I found it to be a more sustainable diet while training for a half marathon. That short training period turned into a complete lifestyle shift–two years going strong! Originally from Ireland, I grew up on a meat and potatoes diet making the transition a complete surprise. But, one of my favorite things about being vegan is getting to translate my love for cooking by taking non-vegan meals and making them vegan, especially those Irish classics. Vegan colcannon, anyone?

My name is Neto, I was known as “The Rawboy” when I first started this vegan journey, but now I go by Neto Craves (I feel it resonates better with the person I am now). My digital work is dedicated to giving you ideas on creating delicious meals without using any animal products. I’ve been cooking vegan meals for about ten years now, and along the way, I’ve discovered fascinating and savory ways to enjoy a vegan/plant-based diet.
