We are facing a crisis.
I know you’re seeing the news and are anxious to help. On November 1, due to the ongoing government shutdown, 40 million families will stop receiving the SNAP benefits they rely on for daily meals.
Additionally, initiatives deployed by the current administration are striking so much fear into our neighbors and communities, that many will not brave the risk of being detained or removed to seek desperately needed food for their families.
This new reality has required Support+Feed to rapidly expand and adapt our strategies in order to respond to the evolving needs of the communities we serve. We remain optimistic about our ability to continue to support those in need, but we cannot do it without your help.
Last year, in November and December alone, Support+Feed distributed 65,485 meals and pantry items. Now, with increased requests for support, we anticipate an especially challenging holiday season. Consequently, we’ve increased our goal to deliver 80,000 delicious, nutrient-dense plant-based meals, pantry items, and — in response to alarming circumstances in some cities—shelf-stable grocery boxes for easier distribution to those concerned for their safety.
We are so grateful to all of you for your support in making this happen. If you can please make a donation today it will mean so much to so many.
