With the one year anniversary of the LA Wildfires heavy on our minds this week, on IG Live, Maggie spoke with Maria Town, the President and CEO of American Association of People with Disabilities (@aapdofficial on IG). Maria shared tips on how people with disabilities can prepare for and recover from extreme weather events such as the Eaton and Palisades Wildfires. She also reminded us that the climate crisis will only exacerbate unnatural disasters, so it is crucial that we all have important documents ready and that we connect with our loved ones and neighbors to make sure that everyone is on the same page for when disaster strikes.
