INGREDIENTS

  • 6 Medjool dates (pitted)
  • Peanut butter (your favorite kind)
  • Melted chocolate (dark or milk)

RECIPE

  1. Slice each date in half lengthwise to make 12 “cockroach bodies.” Remove the pit if still inside.
  2. Fill each date half with a small spoonful of peanut butter.
  3. Use melted chocolate to seal the open side of each date.
  4. Use a piping bag or a small zip-top bag with the tip cut off to pipe chocolate legs (2-3 on each side) and two antennas.
  5. Add candy eyes before the chocolate hardens (optional).
  6. Chill them in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes until the chocolate sets.
