Caramelized Onions
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- Oil for frying
- Pinch of sugar (optional)
Patties
- 1 can (220 g) black beans or kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 5 tbsp breadcrumbs or chickpea flour
- 3–4 tbsp water (if needed)
Sauce
- 6 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp chopped pickles
- Salt to taste
To serve
- Burger buns
